How badly does a iPhone camera distort your face?

I know it's suppose to be what other people say but when I take a selfie one eye is above the other teeth are slanted and crooked nose is diagonal but I do the same thing with a chair take a selfie of it and it is slanted and distorted/bent to, I tried this with 2 iPhones and an an iPad just how bad is a iPhones self camera?

My guess is that you are asking about using a mobile (including iPhones) to take selfies at arm's length.

These cameras only have a wide angle lens, thus any portrait you take of yourself will produce images that will distort your face, especially your nose

The only way to get good portraits of yourself is to use a medium telephoto lens and to do that, you will have to mount the camera at least four or five feet from your face.

Mobile phones have wide angle lenses, with no optical zoom. Wide angle lenses cause wide angle distortion. It's worse the closer you are to the subject - especially if held at arms length. So not good for portraits

You need to be at least 2 meters or more from your subject, and you need to use a moderate telephoto lens to get an non-distorted photo.

Phones are useless as cameras. That's why photographers don't use them for photography.

They're just as bad as the people that use them to take pictures.

It's the people that dictate picture quality. If you know photography, you know the right tool is a camera not a phone but then if you exactly what you are doing, you will get decent pictures even with a phone.

All mobile phones distort the face if held at arm's length. It's because the camera has a wide angle lens. Not much you can do about it unless someone else takes the photo from about 5 feet away.
