Why does my face look chubbier on my iPhone 6 camera?
When I look in the mirror my face doesn't look as big as I look on my iPhone. Anyone else with this problem?
It's the Kim Jong Un effect. He too is actually very thin, almost skeletal but photos put on 50-80 pounds. You are having the same issue.
This is due to the different angle of views (AOV) of the lenses! A camera's angle of view depends not only on the lens, but also on the sensor. For a given camera-subject distance, longer lenses magnify the subject more. Because different lenses generally require a different camera-subject distance to preserve the size of a subject, changing the angle of view can indirectly distort perspective, changing the apparent relative size of the subject and foreground.
