How to fix my Iphone 4? (Dropped it in water)?
Today i accidentally dropped the bottom of my phone in some water. The whole thing didn't get drenched thank goodness but the part where the speakers are did. It works just fine, except that whenever I turn on my music no sounds comes out and the volume buttons don't work. The ringer works just fine which confuses me a bit and I can hear just fine whenever somebody calls me. Oh, and whenever I try to turn it off it turns on by itself. Help, please. I don't know what to do; I've had it sitting in some rice but I don't think it's working since it won't turn off.
Wait until october and buy the iphone 5. The 4 is trash.
Time to replace it
Probably water got in the headphone jack, and it thinks there's a headphone in there, which disables the speakers. Try pluging in a headphone and see if that works…
I have been through this before. All you have to do is get a bowl of uncooked rice and let you iphone sit
in it over night and it should be fine
When phones get wet, you generally want to not turn them on in case the water got into the electronics, that could short them out and ruin them. But since it's working for the most part, that obviously didn't happen. The same thing happened to my sister's iphone a while ago, you can't really do much on your own without voiding your warranty. Take it to an apple store and they should be able to fix it for you.
- IPHONE DROPPED IN WATER. Red dot, i've already done rice treatment CAN I FIX ON MY OWN? I accidentally dropped my iPhone in water. i placed it in rice for 3 days and its working EXCEPT FOR ONE PROBLEM. The phone won't charge. There's a small, faint red dot in the charging port on my iPhone. Ti read on the apple website to go to the store, and That the warranty doesn't cover if the red dot appears. so can i fix this on my own? Please Help! I need the phone to do my job. And i don't have the time or the money to get it to the store and pay for this.
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water, can I fix it? I dropped my phone in the bathtub, it was only in there for a few second before I grabbed it out and dried it off, but the speaker doesn't work now. This happened about five minutes ago. How do I dry it off and get the speaker to work without damaging the phone?
