How can I reset a full iPhone without the password? Details below?

I have an old I Phone 6+ that I forgot the password to. I used iTunes to try and and update' but when I do so, it says is full and can't be updated try deleting some files' or something. Since I forgot the password how can I reset the phone?

Factory reset. Not sure if Iphones can factory reset but on Android hold home, volume down and power button until the logo pops up. Try this?

You don't have enough storage remaining. Need to retain at least 20% free. And, if your media is synched. Need to unsynch it first. Else the files you deleted will mysteriously reappear.

You could, but ultimately would require the password to properly activate the phone. So the better thing to do would be to use the Apple ID recovery options to get the existing one or setup a new one.
