How to restore my jailbroken Iphone 4s with out updating?
I have some problems so i'm going to delete the jailbreak but it says i need to update. I had ios 5.1.1 but it says i still need to update
Just do a restore ios 5.1.1 is the latest version
Just hit 'restore' - it'll download the latest (non jailbroken) iOS which is 5.1.1… For a few more days at least! IOS 6 is just around the corner.
- Will updating (to 6.1.4) a jailbroken iPhone 5 on 6.1.2 brick it? So I'm updating to the beta version of ios 7, but first I need to uninstall my Evasi0n jailbreak and update to 6.1.4. Will just pressing the update button in iTunes brick my iPhone, or will I just loose the jailbreak? If this will brick it, what is the best way to go about restoring my iPhone?
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?

- Updating jailbroken iPhone 4s iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1.3 help needed? Full story: I bought my iPhone off a friend, who previously got it on bill pay, but stopped paying the bill, so they disabled the phone. He got the phone jailbroken to bypass that, and now the phone is working properly, pay-as-you-go, but it is jailbroken. The phone will NOT work without being jailbroken. I was wondering how do I update it from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 6.1.3? (Keeping in mind it NEEDS to be jailbroken to work)
