The only way is to put in a different carrier's SIM and see if it accepts it. There's no other way.
Put a sim card from different network provider.
Use 2 SIMs from 2 carriers. If both receive service then it is unlocked.
You can just try 2 different SIM cards from different carriers and see if they're read by your phone. It'll if the phone is unlocked.
All iPhones are sold unlocked, this has been Apples policy for the last 11 years
The trusty SIM card test; swap the SIM card with a different carrier. If it works, its unlocked. If not, or asks for an unlock code, then it is locked!
