How come gamestop only gives me 83$ for iphone 4 but sells it for 500$?

Like seriously

Because they are *** holes they steal from you to get rich don't do it

Everyone wants to buy something for nothing and sell something used for near retail.

Because they're GameStop.

Funny, they have the 32GB iPhone 4 for $344. 8GBs are $279.

In any case, it's called business. That's how you do business. You buy low and sell high. It's called mark-up and basically every retail business does it because that's how you make profit.

Think about it, if they gave you whatever they were selling the iPhone for on their shelf for, how would they make money? There wouldn't be any profit because they'd just break even every time.

Let's say you're running a lemonade stand, and it costs about $0.25 to make a cup of lemonade. Are you going to sell it for $0.25? No, you're going to sell it for like $0.50 or $1 so that you can cover the cost and have some money for yourself.

When you traded your phone in, you agreed to their prices. You could've sold it on your own through Craigslist or something for more, but you agreed that $83 was a fair trade-in price by accepting it.

I hope you didn't sell it yet.

Go on CashiPhone.com and check the online quote for your iPhone. They'll but it for that price from you, and the pay is always good. Plus, they give you a free shipping label. It's a business but with ethics because they offer you a decent sum of money for your device.
