How to add MKV files to itunes?

I have a lot of MKV Video Files that I would like to watch on my Jailbroken Iphone. Unfortunetly, my Iphone doesn't support this format.So, I installed VLC Media Player off of Cydia to play these files, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to add the MKV files to my itunes.

Unfortunately the reason you are unable to figure this out is because it is impossible. Apple have always been very exclusive about their choice of formats and itunes is no exception. The only video format that will be accepted by itunes is MOV and MP4. Just because your iphone is jailbroken it unfortunately does not mean that your itunes is restriction free too.

You have to convert MKV files to mp4 for playing on iTunes and iPhone. What you need is iPhone vido converter. It converts videos to mp4 for iPad, iPhone, iPod and apple tv. AND it can convert a bunch of mkv files at one time.
