How do I change my AT&T cell phone number?

I have an iPhone and I would like to change my phone number. I'm on a family plan with my family, I know the fee is $36. I looked it up and it gave a few steps and to log back in with my new phone number. My issue is if it's not the only cell on the plan do I still use the old number or the main number on the account.

Also it doesn't give too much detail at syncing my iPhone to iTunes. What does that do? On a different site it says it sync your voicemails Bt i don't know abt that. Just need my number changed. I thought I could call in to change but I didn't see anything abt that online plus with my iPhone not sure if I can.

Call customer service and ask what is needed to change your number on you line. They will tell you and then you may or may not have a range of numbers to pick from or if you want, can pay for a vanity number.

But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
