How do I convince my parents to unground me?
I got my iPhone taken away at school because My phone went off in class because some random person was calling me. I forgot to put it on mute. I was given a detention for that. My parents out from my school and took it away for a month. I really need my phone back for important reasons. Oh and also I have ADHD and I tend to forget things like when I forgot to mute my phone. I'm 14 and I'm 8th grade
Added (1). This was an honest accident. I wasn't using my phone, Some one called my phone and it started ringing in the middle of class. For those who don't understand.
When I was 14, I didn't even have a phone. Deal with it, kiddo.
If you need it for such 'important' things, then I doubt they would argue about giving it back or negotiating. If you're that desperate, offer an exchange for something else that really matters to you, or let them decide what to exchange it for.
Mistakes happen. If I were your parent, I wouldn't have grounded you from using your phone, but people do things differently. If they're pretty laid back you can also just try to explain that it was an accident.
There's nothing that at the age of 14 important to have a phone for. Phones are a luxury and you lost yours due to breaking the rules. Suck it up and deal with the month. If you do extra things around the house without being asked you might be able to show them you are responsible and cut the time down a few days.
Maybe you can apologize and tell them you forgot to mute your phone
