How do i find an iphone someone stole?

I was on the bus and left my iphone on it. I went back to get it but my bus goes to a middle school i'm in high school. I tried using find my iphone but it said it was offline. I got the service turned off and i asked my bus driver and called the middle school to see if anyone turned it in and to no surprise no one did. Is there any way i can find it, i'm stressing out my provider is at&t

I would recommend going to the Apple Store or your provider and see if they can maybe track it using the serial number.

Not a single thing you can do about it. And the phone was left behind, not stolen, and you have no idea what happened after you left it on the bus. So you have called AT&T and reported it lost or stolen, that is it. You can forget tracking it. If you had insurance, file a claim, pay the deductible get the replacement phone and move on. Hopefully someone turns it in by the end of the week, once they figure out they can't use it, if not, you will live.

Well I'd suggest keep trying Find my iPhone. People don't steal iPhones to be paperweights, so it would come online eventually either through data or Wi-Fi.

Also it is basically pointless stealing them since Activation Lock prevents activation unless the Apple ID password is entered. If that's any consolation.
