How do i trust third-party accessories for my iphone?
I have an iphone 7 and i recently bought some adapters off of amazon, but every minute or so i get a notice that they're not supported for my iphone. Once i unplug them and plug them back in, it works, but only for a minute. I realize this happens because its a non-apple issued item, but is there any way i can get it to work without the annoying notices?
All you can do is buy items made by Apple, or made by companies that licence the designs from Apple.
The lightning connector is more like a PC expansion card slot than a simple connector; anything that connects to that has intelligent electronics in, the equivalent of eg. A sound card or a video card - and apple own all the rights to that system.
If the connected thing is not a valid design, the phone puts up a warning.
There are plenty of cheap accessories from reputable companies that do work without problems.
Send the fakes back as counterfeit and buy a different make.
- Why is it called third party? Who are the first and second party? So like in iPhone, you are not allowed to use a third part charger because it is not supported but I was wondering if there's a first party or a second party charger that exists?
- Third party iPhone charger? How fast can it cause damage? I have always known using third party no name iPhone chargers can wreck your iPhone and stop it from charging properly, so I avoided. But I plugged my iPhone into my friends charger which I realized after was not an apple charger, it was only plugged in for 5-10 minutes before I removed it- could it possibly have already done some damage to my phone? I can't tell if my phone is charging slower or if I'm worrying myself over nothing!
- Nightshift for iPhone 5C? Third party app recommendation? Ok so as you may know, iOS 9.3 came with the new nightshift feature which makes your screen more yellow allowing for better sleep. However, this feature is not included for iPhone 5C and down (5, 4S). Is there a third party app from the internet that allows the same effects? No jailbreaking required please. Link if possible. I do have a Mac if needed.
