How do it manually activate an iPhone?

You need a sim chip to a it ate it. If you don't have one you can borrow one from someone else's iPhone. Activate your phone then give it back. Without a sim chip all you can do once activated is use your phone like an iPod. You can't make or receive phone calls. You also need to set up an apple account so you can get apps.

If you want to use it as a phone you need to sign up with a carrier and get a SIM card they cost about $10. When you sign up with them you can choose which plan you want on your phone which will dictate the monthly cost.

  • IPhone - Manually manage music, new computer? So, I just got a new computer, installed the latest version of iTunes, plug in my iPhone and want to manually add a couple of songs. In order to do that, I have to select the "manually manage music and videos" option in iTunes, otherwise, I can't drag and drop songs into my iPhone. However, in order to do that, iTunes seems to REQUIRE me to wipe all current songs on my iPhone before I can enable the option to manually manage music. Is there any way around this?
