How do me and my friend swap phones?
I have the iphone 7 plus and he has the 7. And we both have sprint so we thought we would be able to keep our contracts but just switch the phones but when we do it gets sim card locked. Do we need to completely reset the phones before trying to put a new sim in it?
You have to go to a Sprint store. You can't simply switch SIM cards with CDMA carriers.
If the phones are still being financed or you are leasing them, Sprint won't let you. Both of you also need to be the primary account holder or bring them with.
Don't forget you will need to remove the devices from your Apple accounts and reformat the phones.
