How do YOU (you personally) play music from your phone through your car?

AUX cord?
Bluetooth?
USB cable?
Other?

Also please say what type of phone you have.

I use a USB cable with an iPhone 5S, but looking to upgrade to Android Galaxy phone and apparently they don't work through USB unfortunately and I would need to do bluetooth. Kinda stinks because with the USB it shows all the album information including album artwork. I drive a 2013 Altima.

Bluetooth and Aux. I drive a 2015 Dodge Charger.

I wasn't impressed with the stock system so I teared it out and I installed aftermarket speakers, head units, amplifiers, processors, batteries, OFC wires, a single 15" subwoofer, 6k LED dome lights, 6k LED map lights, etc.

I don't. My piano won't fit.

JVC KD-R880BT Bought one on ebay with the wiring harness for our 2003 subaru, Works great, does bluetooth with spotify perfectly, Also does usb and a regular aux cable, Can do iheartradio and pandora as well

I have an FM modulator I can use for that if I ever need to play the phone in my car- but I never need that.

USB is def best quality you can get but if your going to android I would suggest just using the aux cord it's the next best, Bluetooth you lose quality in the transmitting

Android phones use bluetooth to play through a car stereo, but 1st it must be paired with the head unit to be able to play music!

  • Why won't my iPhone play music through my car? I have a 2011 hyundai genesis and there's a USB port. I have tried two different cords and four different iPhones and all of them had the same result. The iPhone says trust this computer then goes away faster then I can press anything. After doing this multiple times, the screen on the car will say reading error. Any idea why this is happening?
  • What are those things that let you play music through the radio in your car? I got my sisters old car and it's older so it doesn't have a way for an iPhone to connect to it. She used to have this thing that you could put into the cigarette lighter (or the little power thing) and you could connect your iPhone to it and the songs would play over the radio but it broke so I want to buy a new one and I don't know what they're called.
  • Play music from iPhone through car stereo? I have an older car with a cassette player but its broken and none of the cassette adapters work with it. I have an audio cable and I was wondering if attaching a USB head to one end and having the audio on the other end then plugging that into the cigarette lighter with one of those adapters would play music through my stereo?
  • JVC car receiver won't play iphone music through usb? I bought a jvc detachable face receiver for my truck and it will not play any of my music. It shows the track, the album artwork and the duration but it WLL NOT make a sound. Is there something i need to change on the settings? ( I have an iphone 5 but I've tried it with an iphone 4 and an iPod)
