How does iphone typing indicator work?
When texting, an iPhone user can tell when the other person is typing. Is that only with iPhone users? In other words, can an iPhone user know when an android user is texting/typing back to a text message?
It is exclusive to iPhone in that iPhone users will only know when other iPhone users are typing. Not quite sure exactly how it works but I would guess that the iPhone actually sends part of the message to the nearest tower as the person is typing and only gets "sent" once the person is done editing the text and gives the permission for sending.
What you using there's iMessage which is internet based which is why you can tell when someone is typing vs a text message when you can't do the same even if it is iPhone to iPhone.
