How does the iphone 5 pre-ordering work? - 1

I'm about to order one form ATT i was just wondering do they send me the phone on friday or will the phone arrive at my house on friday/ Also is there an option to go to the store and buy one on friday or will they be out or unavalible or some thing?

If you are just now preordering the iphone 5, it is already backorderd 4-5 weeks, so you won't get it for another month. Its possible that the store will have some to buy on friday, but it is unlikely because of the high demand of the preorders

It'll probably take a week or 2 after that because apple sucks. That's what I was told by ATT when I pre ordered mine but that was like a week ago

You WILL NOT be able to get the iPhone 5 by preordering it on Friday. They sold over 2 million preorders in 24 hours. All carriers are prediction a 3-5 week delivery for all orders now.

Your best bet will be going into a Carrier or Apple store on Friday. HOWEVER, this is ONLY if you are willing to wait in lines Really early (3-4 am) to get one.

The soonest you will most likely get one is Oct 5th

Basically you put your name on the list and all the information that you would give when buying a new phone and when they come in to that store you get it before a person that just walked in to the store. Its the best thing to do right now since that phone has a back log, Too many people and not enough phones to go around.

I wouldn't recommend preordering it just now. It was sold out within the first hour of preorders going online… At this point your chances of getting the phone is more than month long wait. I suggest if you want it on Friday to get ready and get to a store EARLY friday!
