How I can unlock my Iphone 3gs from At&t and use it in Europe on T-mobile?

I bought my I phone locked on At&t and I want to use it in Europe on T-mobile network. How I can do that. Do I need to call At&t or there's another way?

You may unlock it, there are a few different things you could try.

First would to have it done, for free, by AT&T directly.
You'll need to go to their website (http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB414532&cv=820#fbid=FmdF7tI5pGc) to see if you're eligible. If you're eligible click on, "online unlock request form" and fill it out. You may also call AT&T and contact them that way.

However, if you're unable to do it through AT&T, you'll have to use a 3rd party unlock service. I had to use a 3rd party unlock service because my contract with AT&T isn't up yet, but I'm studying in Finland for a year.

This one vendor on eBay, unlock_fusion, (Well known and trusted, feel free to Google for more information) is currently unlocking AT&T iPhones for only $9.75. I did this last night and it took about 6 hours for my phone to be unlocked (They say it can take anywhere from 12-24 hours).

Whichever route you choose, once your phone is unlocked you will have to perform a backup and restore of your iPhone. After you do the backup/restore a message will pop up letting you know your iPhone is unlocked (Should look like this: ).
