How long until my upgraded iPhone activates?
I received my new iPhone today after upgrading from the 3GS on Orange. I have received a new sim which I put into the new phone. However the new iPhone is saying 'No Service' whilst my old one is working as normal. I'm just wondering how long it takes for the new phone to activate? Do I have to call anyone or do I just wait it out? I can't seem to find an exact answer online!

- Iphone home button activates siri with single press? My sound on my iPhone 4s has been broken so this morning I cleaned out the charging dock with rubbing alcohol. Now the home button doesn't work -- when I press it, sometimes nothing happens and sometimes it activates siri even though I only hold it down for the short press. Does anybody know what's going on/how to fix it? I fear it has something to do with the rubbing alcohol. I don't care that much about the sound problem, I just want the home button to work!
- If I lost my phone in the water at the beach, what are the chances it will wash up on shore and how long until it did so? Was surfing this morning and had my Iphone X in this new waterproof bag i was trying out and it snapped off my neck and i lost it. Not expecting to see it again, but what are the chances it will wash up to shore and how long until it would do so? Happened this morning 8:00am in oceanside CA if this info effects the tide or current at all.
- I have an iPhone 5. How long until that phone will be too old? Will it be able to get IOS 9? I'm gonna upgrade to the LG G4 in the next couple years. I just wanna know how long my iPhone 5 has until its considered an "old" phone.
- Howe long until apps will stop being supported for iOS 7? I'm buying myself an iPhone 4S 16GB For my birthday from a 2nd hand store. I'm not planning on upgrading to iOS 8, Mainly because I have heard that it does not work very well on iPhone 4S. If I want to stay with iOS 7, How long will it be until everything needs iOS 8.0 or higher to be able to work? My main apps are facebook, tumblr, snapchat, kik, instagram, etc. I don't really use my phones for games, mainly social networking and music for when I'm out.
