How many gigabytes does my Iphone 4s have?
I want to sell my iPhone 4s but, I have no idea how many gb it is. I'm really confused. The number is not on the back of the phone like how my Ipod is. I went to settings- general -about and the capacity is 13.2 GB and available is 12.8 GB. The only options on Ebay are 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB… Not 12 GB… How many GB does my iPhone have?
You have a 16gb iPhone, it shows up as 13.2 because the software takes up some memory.
It's a 16GB iPhone 4S and the available space is 12.8GB
That's a 16GB model. You don't get all 16GB to use so 13.2GB is what you get after iOS & its files. Roughly the same lower numbers for the 32 & 64GB models.
Oh & not only Apple does this nor is this limited to smartphones. Standard procedure.
It's probably a 16 gb because the OS takes up some room & the apps eat up some too. There should be a place on your phone (probably under settings) that tells you exactly how much storage you have!
- Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?
- Why does my iPhone 6 (16 GB) show that 11 gigabytes are taken up, when only about a gigabyte of my storage is actually being used? Please tell me, I can barely do anything on my phone with this! And please tell me if there's a way to fix it!
- Why do the 400 pictures on my IPhone take up 5.9 gigabytes of memory? I have tried deleting many pictures and it only seems to clear up a little bit of memory, this just seems way to high for me.
- Is it possible to buy gigabytes for the iPhone? I bought the iPhone 4 8 gigabytes and I downloaded a lot of songs. I'm afraid I'm gonna run out soon. Should I delete some? Or is there a way I can get more gigabytes?
