It depends on you as a user. Will you use apps more than listening to music or taking photos? You need to know how capacity is available to you. You can check that at Settings>General>About>Capacity

E.g. A iPhone 4s 16GB running iOS 7.1.2 has a capacity of 13.3GB. I have filled it with 593 songs, 183 photos, 28 Apps and still have 2.7GB available. Yours will vary.

Too many variables to give a proper answer. Can say this though, depends on what & how many of each you plan to put on.

  • Where are photos stored while importing with iPhoto? I was importing pics of a mates iPhone but an error occurred halfway through each time saying some jargon but i could see a lot were successfully imported before that happened and i'm wondering where they are stored as i can't see them in iPhoto anywhere or its folder through finder. Is there a temp folder they go first? Should i do a "rebuild"?
  • Where are my iphone photos stored in my PC? I once accidentally came across folders within Windows which contained old photos from my iphone which must have synced with my PC when I connected my phone to my PC / i-tunes. I can't find these folders now. I know how to get to App data > Mobile Sync > Roaming > backup. However, the photos aren't there to open. They are strange looking files which you can't do much with.
  • How many songs and photos can a 8GB iPhone 4s hold? My friend don't use apps too much unless Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vine, Camera36… And google chrome. He has around 200 songs on his iPod shuffle ( gonna transfer them to his iPhone and he really loves to listen to music ) and he really really love to take photos and i mean A LOT! So how much songs and photos ( especially ) can a 8GB iPhone 4s hold?
  • How many songs and apps will the 16gb iphone 4s hold, approximately or any guesses? I plan on getting the 16gb iphone 4s and don't really want to spend another $100 for the 32 gb, but I want to make sure it'll hold everything I need. Songs and apps will probably be what I have the most of. (Not many game apps, though if that helps).
