There's only 1 version.

There are 3 currently available the 16 Gb, 32 Gb and 64 Gb version.

CDMA (Sprint, Verizon etc.) 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

GSM (AT&T) 16GB, 32GB, 64GB.

6 Versions;
16GB, 32GB, 64GB (for CDMA)
16GB, 32GB, 64GB (for GSM)

When you buy the iPhone, you will get the correct one if you're on contract, but if you buy it from an Apple Store, they will probably ask which you want. You need to check which one you want (out of CDMA/GSM) for the network you want to use.

The 16/32/64GB just relates to how much content you can store on it at once, the higher the number, the more content you can store. You want either the 32/64GB if you're planning on downloading a few HD movies/videos.

1 version, 3 models. 16, 32 & 64GB

No difference among them except storage capacity.

@Joseph: The iPhone 5, like the iPhone 4S before it is a worldphone, as in GSM/CDMA in 1.So there are no 3 GSM, 3 CDMA models.

  • Would there be a benefit of having bluetooth 4.0 if some devices use older versions? I have the iPhone 5 which supports BLE 4.0 and also own a pebble watch which also supports 4.0. My car however only supports bluetooth 1.2. Does this mean I will not experience the battery benefits of BLE since I will still need to connect to my car which is on the older 1.2 version of bluetooth?
  • Will the discontinued iphone 5 be able to update ios versions? I have an iphone 5 and i'm about to upgrade depending on the answer to this question. I know that apple has discontinued the iphone 5, but does ghat mean i won't be able to upgrade to ios 7.1 or ios 8 when they come out? And if i upgrade to the 5c will that be able to ios 8?
  • Will T-Mobile have older versions of the iPhone? I have recently found out that T-Mobile has finally came to a deal to get the iPhone and I'm very excited because T-Mobile is cheap and affordable and actually has unlimited internet… Well the only problem with me is I do not want to really spend 200+ on the new iPhone but will T-Mobile have the iPhone 4s or the 4 because I still like those phones… And will they offer the same things that att and verizon offer for like 50 bucks or even free?
  • Will Find my iPhone work with different versions? My phone is on iOS 7 but my iPad is on iOS 6 still. Will my phone be able to find it? Help please I lost it and i need it for school.
