How much is 1GB Internet and does it include Apps?

So I'm going to get an iPhone and the deal I'm looking at has 1GB Internet, could someone explain how much that is please? And does using apps like twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook use up that 1GB?

1GB is what is stated, 1GB. Yes anything involving internet access done on 3G/4G will count as data usage.

1gb is around 1 film download and yes apps use yr data up. If you use Wi-Fi at home and don't use youtube on yr phone you may last a month but I always used around 3gb with heavy use. You can get cheap unlimited 3g now so watching movies and youtube is fine.

My phone isn't that old and I don't have insurance. Will apples warranty cover the damage of this since the phones only 3 months old?
