How much is my ring worth now?
I have a ring that was purchased almost 30 years ago for $1000.It is 14k yellow gold, 10 small diamonds (about the size of my front camera on my iphone haha) surrounding a teardrop shaped emerald (4-5x the size of diamonds). I'm looking to sell it and am wondering if anyone has an idea of how much I could sell it for now (I'm going to pawn it).
If it was 30 years ago and you bought it for $1000. I would say 10 bucks at the most.

If you try getting cash for your gold, they will pay about 40 cents on the dollar, then deduct assay and processing fees.
Diamonds are priced according to the 5 C's: Cut, Clarity, Carats, Color, and Certification. You could get a 1ct diamond for a few hundred or pay thousands for a D-color flawless Brilliant Cut.
Your ring is not worth much. 10 small diamonds means it's diamond chips, the part that is cut off of diamonds when they are shaped. There's no charting of small diamonds. The emerald will make it worth a bit but not much… I'd say you are looking at $100 tops from a private buyer. A pawn shop probably $25.
