How much volts does it take to charge a iphone 5s?
I'm making a charger for a phone so and this question came to mind.^ From research I heard 5 and if this is correct can I use 6 or will that not work. If not can I direct some of the energy to say, an led to lessen the volts going to the phone
Around 1400
The correct voltage for an iPhone charger is 5V DC, which is what comes out of a USB socket. Don't risk anything else. It is much cheaper to buy a new charger than it is to buy a new iPhone 5
- Why does my iPhone 4 take so long to charge? Okay so I just got a new iPhone 4 so I'm not sure how long it should take to charge but I just had it at 86% and I left it charging for 1hour and its still not full charged. Should I upload that IOS7 thing? Would that help? Also it seems to die really fast is that normal?

- How to convert 18 volts to 5 volts? I have a 18v drill battery that I want to convert to a iPhone 4s charger (5v) as a backup power source. The drill battery is light weight and holds a long charge and I already have it, so it would be ideal. I also have solder and a spare iPhone usb cord. If anyone can provide me with a Radioshack parts list and some instructions Id appreciate it.
