How to avoid high iPhone fees overseas?
I'm traveling to Spain and want to be able to use my iPhone. Is there a way to turn off the data and use it only as a phone unless I want to connect to the internet with Wi-Fi?
Put on Airplane Mode
Before I went to Europe, I went to Verizon and I asked them the exact same question! This is what they told me.
The first thing you do is go to Settings>General>Cellular>Cellular Data>Off
What this will do is restrict all data to wi-fi and instead of using your local towers, you'll only get notifications through wi-fi
Also, put your phone on Airplane Mode, which is just at the top of your settings!

- What happens if you use paypal to avoid ebay fees? A friend of mine is big into ebay and sells and buys alot. He wanted to buy an iphone for a little less and offered the seller less to go through paypal to go around ebay and save on fees. The seller said if he would just send an invoice through paypal. I told him he could probably get screwed doing it like that but figured i would ask. So if he pays the invoice would he have any protection if the seller decided to be mean and not send it out?
