How to back up text messages on iPhone?
I'm about to get my new phone - can I transfer precious texts from one iPhone to another?
I don't see why not. Just backup using iTunes & then restore from that backup again using iTunes. Check under the File menu.
Yes, you can. You may try this phone to phone transfer, it can help you copy contacts and messages between your two iPhones, it works fairly well for me.

Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- If I turn off push messages on my iphone 4 will I still get my regular text messages? I read that turning off push messages or setting them to manually helps save battery life. I want to know if I do this will I still be able to receive my regular text messages.
- If i back my iphone up on iTunes are my text messages saved as well? I ordered a new iphone offline because my new one has been acting crazy. My new one should be coming in a few days. My old iphone is backed up on my iTunes on my computer. So will all my texts, pictures, contacts be restored on my new iphone when i plug in up to my itunes?
