HOW TO BACKUP AN IPHONE IN RECOVERY MODE?
Okay, so a few hours ago, my phone had frozen so I tried to respring it, but when i tried turning it on again, I got an image of a charger or USB being pointed to the Itunes logo. I looked it up and it said that this was its recovery mode?
I haven't updated to iOS 8 yet because my phone is jailbroken. I plugged the phone into itunes and its still plugged in and the only two options i have are update and restore. I can't back it up? I don't have a problem with restoring but what i DO have a problem with is not having the option to back it up! Please help. I don't want to lose everything and i don't think I have my iCloud turned on either. Someone said that it backs up right after you plug it in but i don't want to take the risk. I haven't backed up my phone in almost a year. I have no clue what to do. It will not turn on unless I update it and to do that i have to restore it.

Personally, I know it's a pain, but I think you should update I iOS 8. Not only are you gonna get better performance, but there's already a jailbrake for 8.4
In recovery mode, you can't back up the device, you can only update or restore it.
- Iphone will not restore from recovery mode? I tried to restore my iphone via itunes but is now stuck in recovery mode. I press 'Restore' on itunes and it downloads the software (takes about half an hour!) and then nothing happens. There's no error message or anything. I've tried this several times now. I've uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and I've tried turning off my firewall. Nothing has worked so far and my phone is out of action. Any ideas?

- IPhone has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, Will I lose pictures? It say I must restore the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. The screen on phone only has a plug into iTunes logo on it. I need to make sure my pics are backed up but Can't get into phone to check. Is there a way to stop mandatory restore?
- Iphone 5c stuck in recovery mode and Itunes won't recognize the phone, or that its in recovery mode? I tried updating to IOS 8 and it has the connect to itunes screen. Well i plugged it into my computer and opened itunes and got no notifications or anything. I really don't know what to do. I've seen online something about DFU mode… But i don't know what that is, is it jailbreaking? Will it erase my phone? Also. My phone is not backed up so help please.
