How to backup my iphone directly to a usb/hard drive directly without using a laptop?
I'm about to buy an iphone 5s but they are very pricy, and my laptop lags while buying a better laptop costs more, please help, rude conversations/links will be dissmissed
There's iCloud backup. You can plug your iPhone into a wall to charge and when connected to Wi-Fi if you go to settings-> iCloud->, Storage & Backup scroll to the bottom and click back up now. If you have Wi-Fi at your place it should automatically when plugged in back up, otherwise it'll be able to be backed up right there in those settings just clicking back up now. If you have iTunes on your and ever need to restore you can restore from the iCloud backup or straight from the device if it would for some reason to back to the factory settings. Also just FYI the iPhone 6 does come out in 4-6 months like September-October, just so you know.
You either use a computer or just do it through icloud.
- Will replacing my existing laptop hard drive affect my iTunes/iPhone? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but with me possibly losing my data from the main 2 devices I use in life I want to be sure. I've made a system image using windows 7's built-in backup software and will be replacing my faulty hard drive with a larger capacity new one. Seeing as it's a full system image it should save all the iTunes program data, settings, media (songs/videos) and iPhone backup shouldn't it?
