How to Block a number on iPhone 5/ Verizon?
For the past week, I have received several calls and text messages from an unknown person, and I don't believe they speak English. If anyone can identify this language, "Polina ze Abba. Titkaski habaita." Please leave in the answers. Anyways, I'm getting annoyed and fed up with this and want to know how I can prevent them from contacting me further. (I will not jailbreak my iPhone)
There are apps that block calls, and Verizon's online customer dashboard (found at "My Verizon") has a page that allows you to block up to five numbers for up to six months for no charge (anything more than five blocked numbers will cost $5 a month).
Install an App, something like Black list and than you can block the calls.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- Switching number from Verizon to Straighttalk AT&T. How to keep my old number? Right now, I have a Verizon noncontract phone. I'm buying an iPhone 4 from a friend which is on the Straighttalk AT&T micro sim plan. I'm moving to the Straighttalk AT&T plan and need to know how to get my number changed over and where to get a new micro SIM card from.
- Is it possible to block block numbers? I have a iPhone I just a call about an hour ago. It was from a blocked number they left a voice mail witch was only 3 seconds long. S/he didn't even say anything. I would love to know if I can block this. They are really scary for me.
- If you block a phone number on an iPhone 5s with Verizon is there a record of it? Someone is saying that I blocked them from calling and texting me and I would like to prove them wrong. Is there a way for me to prove that I have never blocked their number?
