Switching number from Verizon to Straighttalk AT&T. How to keep my old number?

Right now, I have a Verizon noncontract phone. I'm buying an iPhone 4 from a friend which is on the Straighttalk AT&T micro sim plan. I'm moving to the Straighttalk AT&T plan and need to know how to get my number changed over and where to get a new micro SIM card from.

The sim you can get at walmart

you keep the same number by making a port in request…

call verizon to get your account # and you have yo know any passwards…

then call strait talk and ask for a port in request

just make sure your verizon phone still is working and active or port in won't work and number is lost

You can ask your current mobile network provider for MNP, mobile number porting, in which you just change the network while your number stays the same.

  • Why can't I use an old Verizon iPhone 5s on straighttalk? My phone recently broke so I wanna use my girlfriend s old iPhone 5s but when I check to see if its compatible straight talk says its isn't. I don't understand why?
  • Verizon iPhone 4 to StraightTalk? I currently have service with StraightTalk, but I'm trading my phone with someone who has an iPhone 4 with Verizon. Would I be able to unlock her phone to use with StraightTalk? I've been TOLD that Verizon will only allow you to unlock their phones for international use only. & I've also been told that if the Verizon phone is unlocked, I still won't be able to use it with another carrier. Can anyone clear this up for me?
  • Switching iphones, how do I keep my number? We recently added a line to our phone plan for my son. I would like to give him my phone to use until I feel he is ready for an upgrade. How do we switch but keep our own numbers? I could go to verizon but if I don't have to take the trip out I'd rather not.
  • Straighttalk iPhone SIM activation for already Straighttalk activated phone? It says I need a $45 service plan card to activate the SIM card, but is there a way to do it without? My phone has $45 service plan active right now, my SIM card is just malfunctioning, so I need a new one. Or do I have to do it when I refill, no other option?
