How to break an iPhone to get a new one?

My phone has some nicks and scratches on it and I want to get a new one. Is there a way I can break it and get a new one, that is covered by the Apple warranty?

I guess you could and call it broken but I wouldn't. Scratches and nicks are a part of a phone's life. If you happen to want a new one, make sure your iPhone is qualified for it (still in date). Like I said though, I wouldn't risk it. A good solution is put a case on it to cover the scratches and stuff up.

No. Warrantee does not cover damage. Put a cute case on the phone.

Have your friend borrow it. Then go and call Apple and tell them some crazy fool mugged you at night as you were walking to your local dealer in a sketchy neighborhood.

  • When Apple replaces your iphone, is the new one really a used one? I recently got my iphone 5 replaced, and when the guy was getting the new one he just took one out of a plain white box. I'm just wonderingly if that iphone was used before and went through a whole process to be fixed and restored to looking brand new.
  • My iphone5 charger is broken and i got new one but not the apple one? So the charger is travel charger and it says charge quickly, constant voltage supply, over volt/over current protection, thermal shutdown protection.( btw its from AFIS korea) My phone really charge faster but i keep getting this message when charging "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably" 1st is it ok to use this charger? And if its fine then can it be harmful to use travel charger everyday?
  • My iPhone got stolen so I ordered a new one, the person then gave it back. Can I sell my new iPhone? I had my iPhone stolen at a campground. I deactivated it and failed a claim to get a new iPhone. The person that stole it then turned it in. Since I have my iPhone back can I sell the new one to a friend?
  • How does one break an iPhone 5 lock button? I need to break my friend's iPhone 5 lock button in order to replace it via warranty but we can't break it. She's already broken two other lock buttons but we can't seem to do anything with this one. Any sure fire ways to destroy just the button?
