How to break my AT&T contract and still get a discounted upgrade?

So, my AT&T contract ends in October, and I'm eligible for a full upgrade on May 12th, this year.

Now, on the 12th, I wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 5 for the discounted price of 200 dollars, instead of purchasing it full price. However, if I do this, I'll be renewing my AT&T contract for another 2 years, which I don't want to do.

So my question is, can I get the iPhone 5, then break my contract, THEN get prepaid with AT&T? If so, how much would it be to cancel per line? (I have 4 lines, including myself.)

I wouldn't suggest doing that at all.
Breaking your contract(s) will cost up to $325 per line, with a reduction of $10 per month, per line.
Breaking your contract(s) could potentially(and more than likely) impact your credit score, as well as disallow the use of the number that was previously on the line.

So, it is possible, but not recommended.
It'd just be best to pay outright for the iPhone 5.

  • Will the iPhone 5c be discounted once the new iPhone is released? I really want an unlocked iPhone 5c 16GB which is $549 right now. Once the new iPhone is released, will they discount the price of the 5c? And if so, by how much?
  • Where to find a discounted virgin mobile iphone? Well my question is pretty straight forward, I want to know where I can find discounted virgin mobile iPhones.
  • Should I break my Verizon contract? I have 7 months left on my cell phone contract. I hate how companies are making you wait two yrs instead of one when updated models are coming out yearly. I want the iPhone 5. I currently have the 4. If I buy before my upgrade I know it will be insanely expensive. So what if I break my contract and sign a new one? Will they let you sign a new one right away If you do that and what is the fee for it?
  • Is my tmobile contract still continue after they went to no contract? As you may know Mobile went to no contracts not to long ago and is about to offer the iphone. I want to know will they still honor my contract or will I have to cancel and pay the cancilation fee
