How to change my IPhone 6 Wi-Fi IP address?
About 2 days ago, someone on Instagram with 100K+ followers leaked my IP address and said "If you guys could Ddos or fry his router, I'm giving away this account" and it showed my IP address. Is there any other ways to change my IP address without contacting ISP? If no, is getting new IP address free?
Disconnect your service for a few days. Hope your old address is assigned to someone else.
If your connected through a router, you can change the IP assigned within your routers settings.
What David said. Turn off your modem for 24 hours. Turn it back on and check your IP. If it's still the same, rinse and repeat until it changes.
Please explain how someone on Instagram managed to get your router's IP address.
Here's the ONLY way to fix this!
1st: Destroy the phone! They have your IP and could be spying on you as we speak! Drop it in water, put it in concrete, just destroy it!
2nd: Take your router, with it plugged in remove all external screws and open it up. Spread peanut butter on the inside of it. This helps ensure that they can't gain remote access to your network. If you've ever heard of "Jamming a radar" this is sort of like that, but in the Networking industry we call it buttering your router! More effective than a firewall!
3rd: Find a fire extinguisher, and spray down your PC, this helps extinguish the firewall. Reboot the PC and the firewall will reset it self since it must be relit from being extinguished.
4th: Delete your Instagram account, they can regain access through the tunneling protocol that allows you to connect to this website, you can only stop this by "backfilling" the tunnel by deleting the account!
5th: Spin around in a circle 3 times and realize that you just destroyed a computer, a router, and a phone because you were worried about some novice hack job online who you don't even know talking about stuff you know nothing about!
