How to change resolution of a layer in photoshop cs6?
I'm trying to blend a part of an image into another.
I've messed around with levels and such for a while now, and I'm quite happy with where I landed.
All I feel like I need to do now is to change the resolution of the object I blend into the other image.
The "base" image is taken with an iPhone camera, and the one I'm trying to blend in is taken with some sort of high resolution camera.
Any tips? Should I add grain perhaps? The "base" image is kind of grainy.
You probably only need to scale the image down using CTRL+T (transform), because if the other image were much higher in resolution, it would be huge when you try to place it on top of the low res image. Try that first. If there's still a mismatch in quality I guess adding some grain might help.
Hard to tell without seeing the images though.
- Why are the colors and resolution on my iPhone so much better than on my laptop? I'm a photographer (and yes, I know I should be editing on a desktop) and when I post photos it seems like the colors are much deeper and the resolution is much more clear on my iPhone than they are where I edit them… On my laptop. Which device is "off"? Will they be closer if I were to edit on a desktop (I'm in the process of saving up for one)?
