How to change this setting on my iPone?

Okay so i have an iPhone 5. There's this setting i want to turn off on my phone, Instead of telling me i have a text message when i push the power button on my phone, i just want it to tell me i got a text when i unlock the phone. Cause rite now, the way it is, the text message will show when i push the power button & i don't want people reading my text messages or seeing who texted me. I want the phone to show me the text after i put in my security code or "unlock code". I know this is kind of hard to understand cause i couldn't really find a way to put this in words. Someone help me please.i'll vote best answer.

Settings, general, notifications, click MESSAGES, scroll to bottom, turn off the View in lock screen…
Just make sure you have at least banner selected, so once you open your iPhone, you're notification will show up in a banner form at the top of the screen.
