How to charge an iphone 5s without a charger?
My charger broke and i mean the usb cord only everything else still works. Please give me sure fire ways to charge it without cutting it open or something. And please don't be smart and say "just buy a new one"
The usb cable is something very difficult to fix because it is not just standard wire. It is designed to carry power in the event you are charging your phone but also data if you are moving information onto your phone from a computer. As a result it is a mix of data cables and wire. Therefore you basically can't fix it. There's some developing battery technology coming on the market that allows you to charge a battery remotely through the air but its not realistic to get. You really do just have to buy a new one, sorry. You technically could fix it but it would be way cheaper to just replace it

Honestly, just buying another usb Lightning cord is the cheapest/best way. See the link but pads cost more than a cord would. Don't try to open it up and charge. Dangerous and don't want to tear anything else up. Best luck.

Other than getting a wireless charger (which are expensive and not terribly efficient), you're really just better off getting another cable. Fixing the cable is not worth the effort.
Use a knife and strip the wires and reconnect them at the damage part, If the connector is damaged, buy a new one. My last one was $14, that is not much.(Your wire will get shorter), There should be only 4 wires to solder. Be careful, one mistake and you will be buying a new I phone. And have a Lithium ION battery fire. Play it safe and go to a store to get a new cable.
