How to clean ice cream out of an iPhone?
Ok first I know how this sounds but bare with me!
I'm a photographer n while I was in a session a kid dropped my iPhone (charger n speaker first) into a mcflurry. My phone still worked and I got as much as I could out and had to keep going.
I'm one of those ppl who can't live without their phone and I've never ruined a phone like this.
It seemed to charge fine but after a few hours it dried n now it won't charge, I did get it to at one point but now I don't want to unplug it.
Is there a way to get the ice cream out of the charger slot?
And yes I'm well aware of how stupid this sounds.
Well,
the water damage stickers will have triggered anyway by now.
So warrenty over.
You could gently use a damp cloth and soak out the muck without getting excessive water in the whole phone.
I would prefer to use a gentle alcohol type solvent personally,
as it will evaporate afterwards and not leave water inside.
ALL that said, I expect there's sticky water inside,
and it is that drying inside that is causing as many problems as any. And certainly long term.
So choices
- as above attempt your own cleaning
- go to a cleaning service (lookup water damage repair) for 30-40 pounds
https://www.google.co.uk/...air+iphone
- go to an apple shop and take their genius bar out of warrenty replacement for 140 pounds. (you need to back it up fully and note where the icons are - they go back randomly!) then they swap out for a new refurbished/warrentied one.
- Which one to choose Iphone 3gs or ice cream sandwich device? I'm going to buy a micromax funbook infinity tablet but I'm getting a deal of an I phone 3gs. I'm confused that which one should I buy. I don't have enough money that I can afford both the devices. Please help me. Also tell on what grounds I should not buy one of them?
- What's the iphone game about ice cream? It's definitely an older game but it showed you an ice cream cone that you had to replicate using certain tools. For example, there was a shape that made it look like the ice cream had two circles on the front.
- Spilt ice cream in my iPhone? I was eating an ice cream cone and it dropped into the ear piece of my iPhone. Now when I try to call someone I can barely hear them through the ear piece even when the volume is turned up all the way. I don't know what I should do? I've already dropped my iPhone in water and everything and it still works I put it in rice. But any suggestions or should I just go try to get it fixed?
- Spilled ice cream on my iPhone 5c? I had a small container of ice cream, and the lid wasn't secured. It was in my lap, and just spilled all over the bottom of my phone. I think I got just about all of it out of the lightning jack, but the speakers are very muffled. It still plays, but not as loud and clear as it should. It sounds like the speaker is covered by my finger or something. Any home remedies? Or do I need to take it to the Apple Store?
