How to clean the rubber part of my OtterBox iPhone case?

I recently upgraded to a new phone and bought an OtterBox Defender, which I love. The rubber covering is dark pink and I've noticed that it has started to get really dirty. I haven't even had it for two weeks and it looks like a year old case! It's starting to turn brown around the sides and edges and I have no idea why. I'm really careful and gentle with my phone and I like for my things to be nice, neat, and clean.

I've only seen things about using bleach for the white OtterBox. Can someone please tell me a good remedy to keep my dark pink OtterBox clean and true to its color?

Water

Rub neat dish soap on it
Then use a sponge or soft cloth to give it a good clean
Rinse under clear water and dry it
Rubber is easy to clean using this method

A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser may work. Use the name brand. The generic fall apart

None of the above work, is there any other suggestions

  • What's a good rubber case the for iPhone 5? Does anyone know of a good iPhone 5 case that has rubber on the inside because cases that have plastic on the inside scratches the phone is there a type of case that is rubber on inside and out or the whole thing. Or can you tell me if the otter box scratches the iPhones body and screen.
  • What is the tightest fitting rubber iPhone 4 case? Every rubber case I've tried or checked out on other people's phones just sucks. They are way too loose. I'm looking for a rubberish iPhone 4 case that is extremely difficult to stretch fit around the 4 so that it's extremely tight. Has anyone seen anything like this? Please don't recommend any 'Griffin' products.
  • My iPhone Otterbox Commuter case smells bad? How do I clean it? I work at a pizzeria and the silicone part on my Otterbox has picked the pizzeria odor. Is there any way to clean it? I've tried clorox wipes… Could I put it in the dishwasher?
