How to copy my iPhone data to my computer?

My company is giving me a different phone and I need to back this one up first. I've attached the phone by USB to my Mac desktop and am syncing/backing-up via iTunes, but I don't think it's doing anything. My address book doesn't have the contacts from my phone, for example. How do I do this, and then where do I find the copied information to make sure it's even there?

Use iCloud. If you don't already know your iCloud id it's just like the email on your account for example my email on my iTunes account is marcos.villa177@gmail.com so my iCloud id is marcos.villa177@icloud.com. Your password will be your same iTunes password. It's very easy and simple to use.

1.Connect the iPhone to the computer using USB data cable.
2.Open iTunes /iPhone.
3.Click on your iPhone under DEVICES in the left menu.
4. Make sure the Summary tab at the top of iTunes iPhone's is selected.

  • Why does my Computer take forever to copy files to my Desktop now? My computer was working fine until yesterday. All of the sudden it takes 2 hours to copy 20 videos from my iphone to my computer. I do this All the time and it takes no longer than 20 secs to copy the files to my desktop. But yesterday and today it's been taking up to 2 hours. I have windows 7 and an HP computer. It's practically a brand new PC.
