How to delete a corrupted app file in order to update apps on my iPhone?

I have just found out from apple technical support that I have a corrupted app file and that is the cause of me not being able to update all my apps. I have no clue what to do. My options are either buy a $50 deal that will last me 30 days and they will fix my problem or $100 for 90 days. These are ridiculous prices considering that I have one apple product that I'm using right now and that is this iPhone. I talked to this guy and he says that those are my options. I'm wondering what I can do to solve this problem on my own or very cheaply.
