How do you delete internet history on an iPod/iPhone?

Click the book logo at the bottom of safari, then click history, then click clear in the bottom left corner

1. Click the main button to go to the iPod Touch or iPhone's home screen. Scroll around until you see the "Settings" application, and press on that application to start it. The settings menu is the control center of the iPod Touch and iPhone, and also allows you to turn off the Wi-Fi (on the iPod Touch), block access to your device by adding a password (if you find yourself clearing the Internet history all of the time, you might consider turning this option on), adjust light and battery settings, and configure the options for individual programs.

2. Scroll until you see "Safari" in the settings menu and click on it. By the way, you can block accepted cookies on this menu, and turn off Javascript and plugins. This is the menu you'll need to go to every time you want to delete your Internet history. To delete it, press the "Clear History" button at the bottom of the screen.

3. A prompt will appear asking if you're sure. Hit "Yes" to completely delete your iPhone or iPod Touch's Internet history. Remember that once you've deleted the history, there's no way to get it back, so if there are any websites that you need to remember, bookmark them in Safari before clearing your history. Your bookmarks and other Safari settings will not be affected in any way by clearing your history.

  • IPhone internet history same as Laptop? I was just browsing the internet this afternoon on my laptop and then just now I was on the internet on my iPhone and the suggestions that come up for recently searched stuff on Google was exactly the same as on my laptop. Word for word. How can this be? I'm guessing it is to do with my Google Account being the same on both devices and maybe that has picked it up… But if not, surely this is an insanely obvious lack of privacy and confidentiality somewhere along the line?
