How to delete my old messages from my iPhone?

I've already deleted them from my inbox, but when I type somthing in the "search iPhone" it all comes back up. Can this be deleted I have a 4s

If you go to your settings and click on general and then spotlight search you can uncheck messages so that they will not be viewed when you spotlight search your iPhone.

  • Transfer text messages from old iphone to new iphone? Recently got a new iphone and my old iphone has some text messages (also whatsapp messages) that I would like to recover. Is there an easy way to get those message from my old phone to new phone with out using icloud or sketchy online downloads?

I've called Apple and sent a receipt for proof of purchase, but they said it's invalid, because the SN doesn't match which doesn't make sense. Is there another way to just erase everything off the phone myself?
