How to disable text messaging temporarily on iphone 4s?
I was wondering if there was anyway to eliminate text messaging for a couple months (only temporary) on the iphone 4S.
Added (1). Potentially get to a point, where I can switch it on and off whenever I want
You would have to contact your cell phone carrier. Text messaging comes from the cell phone data towers. Only the cell phone company would be able to disable text message. Call their customer care and request to temporarily remove text messaging from your cell phone.

- Not receive texts temporarily? I would like to know how to not receive texts temporarily, but then you get them when you want. I know you can put your phone on airplane mode but it will show if my phone is on airplane mode so when my dad checks it he will turn airplane mode off and my phone will receive the texts. Is there any other way that I can temporarily not receive texts but then get the texts after I turn an option off? By the way, I have an iPhone!
