How to disable the iPhones tracking modes so it can't be tracked down anymore?

I found an iphone 5 and it seems like who ever lost it sent a message to it saying it was being tracked. I think they are using foundmyiphone app. So can that be the only thing they are tracking it with?

You can change its ip settings to become anonymous.

You should bring it back to the owner. Further resistance will only piles a case against you.
