How to downgrade from windows 8 pro with media center, to just windows 8 pro?

I got windows 8 pro a while ago, and found out that I could get media center free… Not knowing till after upgrading that it won't work afterJanuary… So now I'm stuck… In the bottom right of my screen, I have a splash saying "Windows 8 pro with media center build ###" and in my notifications it says I need to register my windows 8 with media center cuz my code is invalid… I got the code off a site giving it… And now I have a unregistered windows 8 pro with media center… And I looked for a restore date but I had one… For the same day… And it dident help, so I found this refresh thing and did some research on it… And when it says it removes apps downloaded from the web… I dident know it ment, google chrome, minecraft, etc… I thought it was windows apps… So now I lost a bunch if stuff.luckily I gave a friend a copy of my MC world from not to long ago… But it still says I'm in registers. And when I select to register it, and give my ligit windows 8 pro code that I bought. It says it won't work cuz the windows 8 pro with media center is above windows 8 pro… So it said to open the windows 8 startup… I did and it says I can't buy it online in my country (Canada) witch I could before… So I googled it and found if I set it to a comparability mode it works (btw way, after refreshing my PC, it deleted the restore points:/) but when I say go through the proses… It says I can Take Nothing, or Only Personal Files… Weres the Everything button I had before! So Please Help ME! It's 3:09 AM and I'm on my iPhone… And if I get nothing in a day or so… I'll probably call Microsoft for help. And I don't want to lose my files! I almost lost some dear files, and I did back them up now… But I may have missed something!
