How to extract photos from an old IPhone 4s with no passcode or iTunes?

I have recently found my old IPhone 4s but can't remember the passcode and no longer have the computer the iTunes was set up on. I have Googled it and appears without the passcode or iTunes it is lost forever. Is there anything I can do? Even pay a price to get the pictures extracted, I would really like the pictures off the phone as it was my best years in secondary school. I guess if there's nothing I can do than that is it, any help would be really appreciated. I don't want any other data apart from the photos.

The only "realistic" way I see is to get a hold of a Cellebrite UFED (Universal Forensic Extraction Device) to make a copy of your phone's storage. However UFEDs aren't sold to the general public, but rather government and/or police agencies.

That's why backups are critical!

Can't be done, unless you've got a friend in the NSA or FBI perhaps. It's one of the "attractions" of iPhones, they are secure. It would probably be quicker to have hypnosis or regression therapy to try and remember the passcode.

All the data stored on there's encrypted and is impossible for you or even for Apple to recover unless you enter the correct security credentials.

The FBI managed it just once on a single iPhone using an old version of iOS bit it cost them millions of dollars to do so. Your chances of copying that are zero.

You probably still have an iCloud account though, and some of the data will have been stored on it. If you can remember the security credentials for that (your username is usually the email address you used back then) or have access to the recovery methods for lost security credentials then you have an excellent chance of getting back some of your data.
