How to find iphone serial number? Broken and not backed up?

Hi so I know that apple will replace your iphone if it is damaged but you need the serial number… I have the physical phone but it is so damaged that it will no longer turn on. I went into itunes and checked under preferences and devices but my phone was not there so it was not backed up anymore, due to the fact that i lost my computer and all itunes information that i had. Is there any other way I can find the serial number? Any help would be great thanks.

I came across your question and felt the need to help. First of all, if your phone was not backed up, you can still try and plug in into you computer. This may work unless it is completely fried. Apple always puts the serial number of your device on the box. If you know where that clear casing the phone came in, the number would be on it. Also even though it may not appear to be backed up, it still may be with iCloud. Best of Luck to you!

The serial number is on the back of the device underneath the word iPhone.
