How to find iphone with find my iphone that is offline?
My phone got stolen today and I have on my find my iPhone but it can't be located because it's not connected to Wi-Fi and it says offline. This has to be the most ridiculous thing ever. I don't understand how that could possibly work. Please help me or just give some helpful advice. I'm confused and frustrated.

Added (1). It says "Actions will take place when this iPhone connects to the internet." I've called within hours of it being stolen and it rang the first time and after that I had no luck. But thank you so much for your advice.
If it is on a cellular network, go to iCloud.com and go to find my iPhone. Click lock device, The thief probably has your iPhone off right now while they try to figure out what to do with it. They will have to turn it on at some point. And when they do it will lock and they won't be able to use it and you should be able to get its last known location. Find my iPhone does not need Wi-Fi to work. For an iPad or iPod Touch that is true but not for an activated iPhone. (you can also wipe the device from iCloud as well if you need.) iOS 7 included Activation Lock so if he tries to "restore" the device it will require your apple ID and password to be of any use to him. - Why does Find my iPhone say offline? I lost my phone today and I immediately got on find my iPhone from a different device by signing in with my apple ID. It showed me where it was at, we went looking for it and it wasn't there which means someone probably stole it.
