How to find lost iphone (turned off)?
My friend's iphone was stolen at school last week, and now she is on vacation. I'm hoping that i will be able to find her phone before she gets back. Its an Iphone 5 and is turned off without Find My Iphone. I don't know if there's anything I can do about it. Please help?!

There' not too much you can do, but you could try to email the administration at your school and see if they found it.

Unfortunately there's little that can be done about the phone in that case. Without enabling Find my iPhone, tracking the phone would almost impossible even with the phone on.
Try asking the people in your school if anyone has recently been bringing an iPhone that is similar to your friend's phone.
If that fails, have your friend contact his/her telco to have her phone bricked, if they have that capability.
It's hard to do that because it's switched off. No tracking works if the device is switched off. Try searching it through manual actions.

So my dad left his phone in line at the grocery store and when he went back the cashier said a couple took it to bring it to costumer service but they never turned it in and turned off find my iPhone.
